Before You Ask

‭‭Matthew 6:8 NKJV‬‬
[8] “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.

The Lord knows exactly what we have need of, before we ask Him. Before you even form your mouth to say what you need—God already knows. Before we even think of our “ask”—God already knows what we need. Before our spirit can form the unction to ask—God already knows what we need.

The New Living Translation puts it this way, “Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him!“ Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭8‬ ‭NLT‬‬. Don’t be like the world—our Father (your Father) knows exactly what you have need of—before your need manifests. Before the storm forms—God knows what you have need of. Before the need manifests—God knows.

Before the gap presents itself—God knows what you have need of. Before the shortfall forms—God knows what you have need of. Before the storm forms—God knows what you have need of. Whatever you have need of—spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally, or financially—God knows what you need.

Pray in the Spirit and let God lead your heart. Pray and surrender your heart over to God and let Him transform you from the inside out. ‭‭Romans 12:2 NKJV‬‬ says,
[2] And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Let God lead you. Let His Word transform you. Let His Word renew you. Choose not to conform to the world’s standard—choose the Way of Christ. Choose the Way of God. For the Holy Spirit will transform your way of thinking.

According to Strong’s Concordance, the Greek word for “Conform” is, ‘syschēmatizō’ (G4964) which means, “To conform one's self (i.e. one's mind and character) to another's pattern, (fashion one's self according to).” Do not conform to the character and pattern of this age—pattern yourself after Christ.

‭‭Philippians 2:5 NKJV‬‬
[5] Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,

Partner with Christ. He knows what you have need of before you even ask.
