We Beheld His Glory
John 1:1,14 NKJV
[1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
[14] And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
And the Word was made flesh. His Glory was made tangible. God loved us so much that He wrapped His Glory in the flesh—so that we can handle and behold His Glory. We beheld His Glory. We beheld Him. We beheld Grace and Truth.
In fact, according to John 1:1, you cannot separate God from His Word because He is, and was, His Word manifested. Jesus Christ is Glory manifested.
The Amplified Version expounds upon John 1:1, 14 AMPC in the following manner, “IN THE beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. [Isa. 9:6.] And the Word (Christ) became flesh (human, incarnate) and tabernacled (fixed His tent of flesh, lived awhile) among us; and we [actually] saw His glory (His honor, His majesty), such glory as an only begotten son receives from his father, full of grace (favor, loving-kindness) and truth.”
His Glory tabernacled with us.
Matthew 1:23 NKJV
[23] “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
God is with us. For God is with you.
Holiness is a byproduct of the Glory of God. Let God tabernacle with You. May He fix His tent and dwell with you. God desires habitation not just visitation.
Leviticus 11:44-45 NKJV
[44] For I am the Lord your God. You shall therefore consecrate yourselves, and you shall be holy; for I am holy. Neither shall you defile yourselves with any creeping thing that creeps on the earth. [45] For I am the Lord who brings you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God. You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.
Be Holy for God is Holy.
The Amplified Version expounds upon John 1:14 AMPC, “So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.”
He is full of unfailing Love. He wants to dwell with you. He wants to make His home with you.
