Fix Your Thoughts

“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things."
Philippians 4:8 NKJV

Choose to fix your thoughts on whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue choose to think on these things.

The Amplified Version expounds upon Philippians‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭AMPC‬‬ in the following manner, “For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].”

Fix your mind on the things of Christ. Intentionally set your focus and build on the things of Christ. Build on the things that are excellent. Build on truth. Build on whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable. Build on whatever is just and pure. Build upon Christ.

Fix your thoughts on His Word. Fix your thoughts on His Command. Don’t worry about the wind and waves that come your way. Don’t worry about what others may say. Fix your heart on the things above. Think on these things. Think on the things of Christ.

According to Strong’s Concordance, the Greek word for “Think” is, ‘logizomai’ (G3049) which means, “to reckon, count, compute, calculate, count over, to take into account, to make an account of, to consider, take into account, weigh, to meditate on, to judge, to determine, to purpose, to decide.”

Weigh these things. Take into account the things of God. Purpose in your heart to think on the things of Christ. Don’t worry about the cares and worries of this world. Choose to follow the Principles and Precepts of Christ—choose to meditate on Him. Choose to follow the things of God. Think on Christ.
