Be Discipled

The vision statement here at the local church is to change the world one disciple at a time. According to Strong’s Concordance, the Greek word for “Teach” is, ‘mathēteuō’ (G3100) which means, “To be a disciple of one, to follow his precepts and instructions, to make a disciple, to teach and to instruct.” The Greek word for “Disciple” is, ‘mathētēs’ (G3101) which means, “Learner, pupil, a disciple.” Before you reach others, learn to, serve, sit and study. You can not teach what you have not learned. You never make a disciple if you have not been discipled yourself. 2 Timothy‬ ‭2:15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ declares, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

Study God’s Word. Choose to submit to His Word. Serve God. Serve His people. Allow God to lead you to Pastors after His Heart. Serve in a house that reflects the Heart of God. Jeremiah‬ ‭3:15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ states, “And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.” Let God plant you in a house after His Heart. Let God connect you to a house that reflects His Heart.

Psalms‬ ‭1:1-3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ declares, “Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.” There is a Blessing in being planted. There is a Blessing in being connected. Stay planted. Stay connected to God and planted in His house where He has planted you.
