Free Indeed
“Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed." John 8:36 NKJV
When Christ sets you free—you are truly free indeed. When Christ sets you free, you are free from addiction. When Christ sets you free, you are free from perversion. When Christ sets you free, you are free from every dark and former deed. When you are IN CHRIST, the Blood of the sinless Lamb—sets you free.
For Galatians 5:1 NKJV says, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.” Stand fast on the Word of God and don't be entangled in the yoke of the past. Don’t be entangled in the slavery of sin.
When Christ has set you free—choose to be free. “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” James 4:7 NKJV. Submit yourselves to God. Submit your heart to God. Resist the devil and he will flee.
According to Strong’s Concordance, the Greek word for “Resist” used in James 4:7 KJV is, ‘anthistēmi’ (G436) which means, “To set one's self against, to withstand, resist, oppose.” Choose to set yourself against sin. Choose to humble yourself, surrender to Christ, and choose to be set free. Freedom is a choice. Sin is an entanglement. Choose Christ and choose to be set free.
