Choose Mercy
“Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy."
Matthew 5:7 NKJV
The definition of Mercy is, “Compassion or forgiveness shown toward someone whom it is within one's power to punish or harm.” Choose to show and sow compassion towards others freely. Choose to forgive freely. Choose to sow mercy towards others in every area of your life. Choose to let your heart reflect the Mercy and compassion of God.
Let your heart be full of His Love. Let your heart be full of His Mercy. Don’t let your heart grow bitter. Forgive freely. Don’t let your heart become hardened. Matthew 5:7 NLT says, “God blesses those who are merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” Freely forgive because God has forgiven you freely.
God is Merciful. Choose to reflect the Heart of God towards those who have done you wrong. Forgive those who have wronged you. Release the past. Forgive them and let God set you free into the future that He has prepared for you. Leave vengeance and payback to the Lord.
Matthew 5:7 AMPC puts it like so, “Blessed (happy, to be envied, and spiritually prosperous–with life-joy and satisfaction in God's favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy!” Be merciful and you shall obtain mercy. Sow mercy and you’ll reap mercy. Let Mercy become your outfit. Let Mercy become your Strength and Song.
