Joy and Peace
“and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:7 NKJV
When you place your hope in God, He will give you peace. When you put your trust in Him, His Peace will go before you and prepare the way. When you choose to surrender to Him, in every area of your life, His Peace will consume you. God’s Peace surpasses human intellect and understanding. His Hope brings Peace. He is the God of Peace.
Judges 6:24 NKJV says, “So Gideon built an altar there to the Lord, and called it The-Lord-Is-Peace. To this day it is still in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.” Gideon built an altar to God and called it Jehovah–shalom, which means, “God is Peace.” God is your Peace. When fear tries to consume you remember that God is your Peace. When your hope seems to have faded away, remember that God is Peace. Choose to focus on God, He is your Peace. He is the God of Hope and of your Peace. God is your strength.
Nehemiah 8:10 NKJV declares, “Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” Go and eat the fat of the land. Have hope in God. Put your faith in God — He is your Strength. God is your Hope. God is your Joy. Raise your gaze, redirect your focus and surrender to Him. Let God restore you.
