You Are With Me
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
Psalms 23:4 NKJV
Choose not to fear evil. Even in a fearful place the presence of the Great Shepherd banishes fear. Those who are IN CHRIST need not fear the presence of evil. The Shepherd has all power and authority over any threat to the sheep.
The rod and staff were instruments used by the shepherd to gently (as much as possible) guide the sheep, protect the sheep from predators or even correct sheep. Choose to allow the LORD to not only protect you but guide you through correction as you go through the valley of the shadow of death. What a comfort to know that God will bring correction to us when we need it.
